THIS WAS MY TUMOR ON DEC 3 2008. Then I had 6 rounds of
chemotherapy to shrink it before it could be removed .
Ewing's Sarcoma responds really well to chemo.
Here is the tumor on March 10

It shrank so much with chemo that I could keep my leg, pubis and ischium.   
My ilium (the big wingy hip bone) is inside this tumor mass.

A lot of it is dead from the chemo, and the dead stuff is called necrosis.
This is hard to see because the x-ray was shot through
my cast.  But if you look closely you can see that I don't
have a hip bone anymore!  The right ilium is gone--
and so is the tumor!
